What is a Veteran? Title 38 of the Code of Federal Regulations defines a veteran as “a person who served in the active military, naval, or air service and who was discharged or released under conditions other than dishonorable.”
Step 1 - Fill out the Registration Form
After submitting the registration form (button below), complete step 2 to finish the process. Included is a comment field for any notes or special requests you have. Do not enter PO/APO boxes for the address… only physical addresses will be accepted for verification.

Step 2 - EMail proof of Service
Scan or take a picture of your Form DD-214 and email it to LIFT A VET as your proof of service using the link below. REDACT, EDIT OUT, COVER UP your Social Security number except for the last 4 numbers. Click on the link below to open your default email tool, or copy-n-paste the link. Use the subject: “vet-register”.

If you do not have your Form DD-214, you may obtain copies from this link. When asked, select an “UNDELETED” version. Request Military Service Records
Once your DD-214 is received by email, LIFT A VET will verify your veteran status and email you a confirmation if you provided an email address. We will use your information for advocacy, education, employment, and awareness as stated in our mission and vision. If you allow us to contact you, we can provide information on events, education, programs, and employment opportunities as we progress with our programs for veterans. We will do our best to give every vet the loudest voice possible, and the HIGHEST level of respect they deserve for serving our great nation. We will review and process your registration as soon as we can. Please allow up to two weeks to complete.
NOTE: Initially, this data will be used for veteran advocacy. As we add newsletters or news feeds and reach out for employment and education services, we will contact those who consent to contact.
